Let’s get down to the nitty gritty. You have decided
You need the rules.
You have decided that your world will take place in a pre-technology magic land, or it will take place in the modern day. Maybe it’s hundreds or thousands of years into the future. But whatever it is, you’ve got it. Now you need the specifics.
Let’s get on with it.
The Specifics
I would normally suggest starting with the items that are most relevant to your novel. For example, in Curious Events the most important part is the different races who live in the world. In Guardian Chronicles, the geography is rather relevant, as I don’t want characters walking hundreds of miles in a matter of minutes. However, transportation and technology is important in Conexion.
I’m going to present to you a more general world building template. Enjoy.
