I’ve been posting a lot on Twitter lately and trying to reach out followers who may want to read about my writing journey and/or a middle grade science fiction.
It’s incredible to see how many authors are out there, like me, aspiring to get their books published. I think writing can be a little lonely or isolated sometimes, if you don’t have a network of editors or betas or critical partners.
Reaching out through Twitter not only helped me ‘meet’ my first ever amazing, fantastic beta reader (Marie Korman - you’re the best!) but it’s also helping me reach out to make connections with other amazing, kind, friendly and supportive authors. We are all on this journey together and I feel, if we can champion each other then we can make a very supportive Writing Community.
A lot has been said about the cliquey nature of Twitter. Personally, I can’t talk about that. I’m going to continue reaching out to followers, colleagues and peers to share my writing journey and my Book.
Be kind and be brave.
